Card, mobile and cloud access control systems for warehouses, plants, offices, clinics, multi-tenant buildings and public buildings in Pasadena, Alhambra, El Monte, West Covina, City of Industry, Diamond Bar and Pomona. One nearby team designs the system, installs the door and gate hardware and supports it after go live.

BTI Communications Group, LTD. designs, installs and supports commercial access control systems in the San Gabriel Valley from its Santa Fe Springs office, and has been in business for over 40 years. We install and take over Brivo, Avigilon Alta (formerly Openpath), Avigilon Unity, Kantech, RS2 and Axis systems for buildings in Pasadena, Alhambra, Monterey Park, El Monte, West Covina, City of Industry, Diamond Bar, Arcadia, Azusa and Pomona. Every building asks something different of its doors and gates. These are the building types we are asked about most in the valley, each linked to how we secure it.
Distribution centers in City of Industry, Walnut and La Puente run long shifts with drivers, temps and contractors coming and going. Gates and driver entrances need credentials that start and end on their own, dock and cage doors need zones by role, and every forced door or propped gate should send an alert. We tie the gate operator, the dock office and the cameras to the same system.
Plants in El Monte, South El Monte, Irwindale, Azusa and Pomona need doors that match the floor: production areas, tool cribs, server rooms and shipping. Badges follow shifts, and the door logs show customers and auditors who entered controlled areas.

Pasadena office towers, Arcadia and Alhambra professional buildings and Diamond Bar office parks mix glass storefront entries, shared lobbies, elevators, parking structures and suites that turn over every few years. We set up entry, elevator and garage readers so the property manager controls common areas while each tenant adds and removes its own staff.
Clinics need open patient entries during the day and locked records rooms and medication storage at all times. Districts, colleges, cities and water agencies need lockdown from one button, visitor screening at the front office and contracts their purchasing team can use: BTI holds GSA contract 47QTCA21D00BA and is a CMAS and TESMA contract awardee (California).

We are not tied to one brand. We recommend the platform that fits your building, your IT team and the hardware already on your doors, and we can run more than one where a portfolio already has a mix.
| Platform | Where it fits in the San Gabriel Valley | Learn more |
|---|---|---|
| Brivo | Cloud access for multi-site companies and property managers. BTI designs, sells, installs, supports and takes over existing Brivo accounts. Eagle Eye cloud video is part of Brivo. | Brivo · Brivo and Eagle Eye video |
| Avigilon Alta (formerly Openpath) | Cloud and mobile first access with touchless entry, a good fit for offices and clinics. | Avigilon Alta access control |
| Avigilon Unity | On premises access and video from one platform for larger campuses and plants. | Avigilon Unity access control |
| Kantech | EntraPass for sites that want on premises control with optional web and mobile access. BTI is a Kantech Global Edition Certified Partner. | Kantech EntraPass |
| RS2 (Acre) | Enterprise access control for organizations with many doors and complex schedules. | RS2 access control |
| Axis | Network door controllers and intercoms from an Authorized and Certified Axis Gold Partner. | Axis access control |
| Software House C-CURE 9000 | Enterprise access control with deep video integration for large and regulated sites. | Software House C-CURE 9000 |
| Alarm.com for Business | Access control, video and intrusion in one app for smaller offices and retail. | Alarm.com access control |

Both are good choices. The right one depends on how many sites you run, who manages users and what your IT team wants to host.
| Question | Cloud (Brivo, Avigilon Alta) | On premises (Kantech, Avigilon Unity, C-CURE, RS2) |
|---|---|---|
| Who manages users? | Any admin from a browser or phone, from anywhere | Usually a workstation on your network, with optional web clients |
| Several San Gabriel Valley sites? | One account for every site, no servers | A central server with each site linked over your network |
| Internet outage at a site? | Panels keep making decisions locally and sync later | Not affected, the system runs on your network |
| Updates | Delivered by the platform | Planned with your IT team |
| Good fit | Offices, clinics, property portfolios | Plants, campuses, sites that require local hosting |
Many takeover calls start the same way: the installer closed, sold the business or stopped answering, and no one has the admin login. We take over existing systems, and Brivo accounts in particular, without replacing hardware that still works.

Every project is quoted in writing after the survey, with each door and license itemized. Financing at 3.99% is available for qualified buyers, subject to credit approval.
Locked doors must still let people out with one motion. Electrified locks, maglocks and delayed egress devices are designed to the California Building Code, and we work with your contractor and the local building department when a permit is required.
California requires an Alarm Company Operator license for alarm system work. BTI is a Licensed Alarm Company Operator, ACO #7670, and holds C-7 License 807767 for low voltage systems. Our team passes LiveScan background checks before working in client buildings.
Readers, intercoms and door operators are mounted at accessible heights, and automatic openers are coordinated with access control so a badge or button opens the door.
Access logs contain employee data. We set retention and admin roles so only the right people can see or export them, which supports the privacy policies California employers already keep.
A badge event means more with video beside it. We connect doors to security cameras in the San Gabriel Valley so a denied badge or a forced door opens the matching clip, and we link access control with intrusion alarms so the building arms itself when the last person badges out.
Access control lives on your network, so it should be secured like the rest of your IT. Our IT team segments door controllers, keeps firmware current and watches for problems through the 24/7 NOC/SOC. Whittier, La Mirada and Pico Rivera are covered on our Long Beach and Gateway Cities hub, Glendale and Burbank on our San Fernando Valley hub, and Ontario, Chino and Montclair on our Inland Empire hub.

Access control is one part of a security plan built around your industry. Local examples from across the valley:

Yes. Those cities are about 11 to 15 miles from our office, and we install and service access control for offices, medical buildings, schools and multi-tenant properties there.
Yes. We connect gate operators, driver entrances and dock office doors to the access system, issue temporary credentials for drivers and contractors and link each gate event to the matching camera.
Door controllers and locks run on battery backup sized during design, and every locked door still lets people out with one motion under the California Building Code.
You disable it in the software in seconds and issue a new credential. With mobile credentials there is no card to lose.
Yes. Many clients start with a main entry, a gate or a server room, then add doors on the same system later.
Yes. We take over Brivo accounts and other existing systems when the original installer is gone. After you confirm ownership, we arrange the change, review users and schedules and fix doors that show offline or forced.
Door logs, badge reports and controlled zones give auditors evidence of who entered sensitive areas. CMMC and other compliance work is completed and contracted by BTI and its partners, including top industry professionals in each category.
After a free site survey we send a written, itemized proposal that lists every door, gate, device and license.
Often. Many strikes, maglocks, exit devices and door contacts can stay. The survey shows which openings can reuse hardware and which need new readers or locks.
Yes. Brivo, Avigilon Alta and Kantech all support mobile credentials, and cards and phones can work side by side during a phased switch.
Yes. We design lockdown and visitor screening for districts, colleges and public buildings, and agencies can buy through our GSA, CMAS and TESMA contracts.
