Many body camera programs tie you to one vendor's cloud and one evidence platform. Axis body worn systems are built on open architecture.
Axis cameras, docks and the AXIS W800 System Controller send video to the content destination you choose: AXIS Camera Station Pro, a third-party VMS or an evidence management system (EMS), on site or in the cloud. Axis documents that a body worn system only works when connected to a content destination, so BTI designs that connection first.
As an Axis Gold Partner with offices in California, Illinois and Arizona, BTI Communications Group handles the full lifecycle: program and policy planning, camera and dock sizing, network and storage design, installation, training and ongoing support.
Pre-buffering captures what happened before the record button was pressed: up to 120 seconds on the W120 and W102, and up to 90 seconds on the W110.
The W120 streams over built-in LTE/4G with location tracking. AXIS Body Worn Live streams video, audio and metadata in real time, hosted by Axis or by you, independent of VMS or EMS.
The W102 records automatically if the wearer draws a weapon or falls, and can trigger nearby cameras via Bluetooth. Nearby W110 wearables can activate when one person starts recording.
Staff self-assign any camera with an RFID tag or take a preassigned one. When docked, the camera charges, offloads and becomes available for the next user.
Axis Edge Vault, secure boot and AES 256 encryption at rest, with end-to-end XChaCha20-Poly1305 encryption for live streams on the W120 and W102.
AXIS Body Worn Manager Pro manages large, distributed body worn systems centrally from a Windows application with Active Directory integration.
BTI sizes cameras, docks and controllers to your shifts, sites and retention policy. The products below are representative examples; specifications are as published by Axis.

Axis lists the W100, W101, W102 and W120 as compatible with AXIS Camera Station Pro, so body worn video sits next to fixed cameras and access events. See AXIS Camera Station.
Open architecture lets the W120 work with the video or evidence management system you choose, on site or in the cloud.
Axis publishes a body worn content destination API on developer.axis.com, so a VMS or EMS can receive recordings and metadata pushed from the AXIS W800 System Controller.
Combine body worn evidence with fixed-camera analytics and security radar events for a complete incident record. See video analytics software.
Body worn cameras are one layer of a safety program with duress, intercom and mass notification. See workplace safety solutions.
Dock, controller and offload health can be watched by the BTI 24/7 NOC/SOC. See managed security support.
Integration options depend on your VMS or EMS and its version. BTI confirms them during design.
Patrol evidence, live backup over LTE and automatic recording on weapon draw or fall.
Loss prevention and de-escalation at entrances and service desks; visible cameras with an indicator light set expectations.
Front desk and security staff at medical offices, PACE centers and behavioral health sites. See healthcare security.
Drivers, yard staff and transit employees. See warehouse and logistics security.
Campus safety officers and school resource teams. See education security.
Code enforcement, parking and facility security teams. See government security.
Activation, retention and who can view video are set to your policy before the first camera ships.
Docks, controllers and offload bandwidth are designed with your IT team, with storage sized to your retention rules.

Body worn, fixed cameras, access control, audio and radar, designed and supported together.
Police, sheriff and public safety agencies, along with campus and municipal safety teams, need body worn video that is simple to deploy and easy to defend. AXIS W120 body worn cameras add live streaming, docking with automatic offload, and open integration with your VMS or evidence management system.
BTI, an Axis Gold Partner and GSA contract holder, handles deployment, docking stations, integration and ongoing support, so your program runs from day one.
BTI designs, installs and supports Axis systems from three regional offices.

480-291-8374Yes. Axis lists the W100, W101, W102 and W120 body worn cameras as compatible with AXIS Camera Station Pro. Axis body worn systems can also send video to a third-party VMS or evidence management system.
Per Axis, the W120 adds built-in LTE/4G live streaming and location tracking, the W102 is built for officers and guards with automatic recording on weapon draw or fall, and the W110 and W111 are compact cameras for frontline staff in retail, transportation and care settings.
Yes. The W120 streams over built-in LTE/4G, and the W102 streams over Wi-Fi or a mobile hotspot with AXIS Body Worn Live, which can be hosted by Axis or by you.
Axis states the W120 has a battery life of up to 15 hours with USB-C charging on the go, and the W111 battery lasts a full shift. Actual life depends on recording and streaming settings.
Cameras are returned to a docking station such as the AXIS W701 Mk II 8-bay dock. The AXIS W800 System Controller supports up to five docks and 40 cameras and offloads video to your content destination.
Axis body worn cameras use Axis Edge Vault, secure boot and AES 256 encryption, with end-to-end XChaCha20-Poly1305 encryption for live streams on the W120 and W102.
Yes. Users can self-assign any camera by scanning an RFID tag or take a preassigned camera, and a docked camera becomes available for the next user.
BTI will size cameras, docks and controllers for your shifts, connect them to the VMS or EMS you choose, and deliver a clear, line-item recommendation.
