Running access control and video surveillance as separate systems means separate software, separate logins and slower investigations. AXIS Camera Station Pro brings them together.
Access control is built in through AXIS Camera Station Secure Entry, so your team can manage doors, cardholders and cameras from a single interface, visually verify who is entering, and pull up the video for any access event in seconds.
As an Axis Gold Partner with offices in California, Illinois and Arizona, BTI Communications Group handles the full lifecycle: site assessment, system design, licensing, installation, programming, training and ongoing support.
Manage doors, credentials, alarms and cameras in the same ACS Pro client. Link doors to cameras for video-verified access events.
Access events are linked to recordings and automatically bookmarked, so you start from the event instead of searching timelines.
Axis states Secure Entry supports up to 1,000 doors and 50,000 cardholders per server, with multi-server control of up to 64 servers from one interface (hardware dependent).
Axis door controllers make access decisions at the edge and keep working if the network goes down, storing up to 250,000 credentials and 250,000 events locally.
OSDP Verified controllers, OSDP Secure Channel readers, Axis Edge Vault and end-to-end encrypted communication in Secure Entry.
Preloaded on Axis recorders with lifetime licenses, or 1- and 5-year subscriptions on your own servers. Each network door controller uses one device license.
Cardholders, groups and access rules by location and schedule; CSV import or Active Directory synchronization; ID badge design and printing.
Door position, request-to-exit and supervised inputs; zones; door-open-too-long monitoring with the AXIS A9210 Network I/O Relay Module; graphical maps.
Compare cardholder photos with live or recorded video at any entry point; unified alarm management for video and access events.
Cards and fobs (13.56 MHz including MIFARE DESFire EV1 to EV3), PIN, dynamic QR codes, license plates via AXIS License Plate Verifier, and Bluetooth mobile credentials via AXIS Mobile Credential with the AXIS A4612 Network Bluetooth Reader. Mobile access is an included feature of Secure Entry; the AXIS Mobile Credential app is free to download.
For example, card or QR code plus PIN at higher-security doors.
Anti-passback, two-person rule, duress PIN, double swipe, first-person-in, tailgating detection with people counting, and lockdowns by door or zone (including from the mobile app).
Roll call and mustering reports, access event logs and reports, and a system audit log.
Elevator floor control for cardholders. ASSA ABLOY Aperio wireless locks are supported with the AXIS Door Controller Extension license (up to 16 wireless doors per Axis door controller).
Receive alarms and control doors from the ACS Pro mobile app; remote access via AXIS Secure Remote Access v2.
Compatibility follows AXIS Camera Station Secure Entry and AXIS Camera Station Pro product documentation. BTI confirms the right mix for your doors during the site assessment. Entry intercoms can be evaluated as part of the same design when your doors need two-way communication.
BTI deploys current Axis access control hardware selected for your door count, outdoor exposure and credential plan. The products below are representative examples from Axis’s Secure Entry lineup.
One-door network door controller with PoE and dual reader connections.
Four A1210-B units in a cabinet for four-door deployments.
Two-door controller with four reader connections and wide operating temperature.
Centralized controller for up to 8 doors and up to 16 OSDP readers.
Mullion OSDP reader, outdoor-ready for narrow frames and gates.
OSDP reader with IP66 and IK07 ratings for demanding entrances.
PoE Bluetooth and RFID reader for AXIS Mobile Credential.
Bluetooth and dynamic QR credentials; mobile access included with Secure Entry.
Other Axis controllers and readers (including A1710-B, A4131-E keypad, A4610/A4611 network readers and the A9210 I/O module) are available when the design calls for them. Photo courtesy of Axis Communications AB. All rights reserved.
Employee and visitor access, dynamic QR visitor credentials, and elevator floor control.
Fast lockdowns by door or zone, video-verified entry at main entrances, and roll call reports.
Restricted areas such as pharmacy, records and IT rooms; two-person rule for sensitive spaces; audit trails. BTI focuses on medical groups, PACE, behavioral health, pharmacies and dental.
Back-of-house and stockroom control with first-person-in and alarm workflows.
Gates and vehicle access with license plate credentials, anti-passback, outdoor-rated readers and wide-temperature controllers.
Manage up to 64 servers and 1,000 doors from one interface when the architecture supports it.
Axis positions Secure Entry as particularly well suited to small and medium-sized installations. For very large or highly complex systems, BTI will also evaluate Axis partner enterprise platforms.
Access control is designed to network and cybersecurity standards from day one, not bolted on after the fact.
Offices in Los Angeles, Chicago and Phoenix, with project management for single sites and multi-site rollouts.
We right-size servers and licensing, assess your existing readers and cards, and tell you when another platform fits better.
Assessment, design (including AXIS Site Designer), licensing through AXIS License Manager, installation, programming, training and support.
Including existing ACS Pro systems you already run. See our AXIS Camera Station page for VMS options.
When Axis Secure Entry is not the best fit, BTI also designs and supports other carried platforms. Start with our access control solutions overview.
No separate platform is needed. AXIS Camera Station Secure Entry is built into AXIS Camera Station Pro. Axis’s license table lists one device license per network door controller, the same as a camera. Wireless Aperio locks also need an AXIS Door Controller Extension license.
Axis S-series recorders ship with preloaded licenses valid for the life of the recorder. On your own servers or virtual machines, ACS Pro uses 1-year or 5-year Core or Universal device subscriptions. A free, full 90-day trial is available.
Axis states up to 1,000 doors and 50,000 cardholders per server, with multi-server control of up to 64 servers. Actual capacity depends on server hardware; BTI sizes the server to your full camera and door count.
Axis door controllers keep making access decisions at the edge and store up to 250,000 credentials and 250,000 events locally.
Often, yes. Axis controllers support OSDP readers, and Wiegand readers are supported directly on some models (for example, one Wiegand reader on AXIS A1210) or through the AXIS TA1101-B Wiegand-to-OSDP converter. Axis readers use 13.56 MHz card technologies, so older low-frequency prox cards may need a transition plan. BTI confirms this during the site survey.
Yes. With AXIS Camera Station Secure Entry, mobile access is an included feature, and the AXIS Mobile Credential app is free to download. It supports Bluetooth (with the AXIS A4612 Network Bluetooth Reader) and dynamic QR codes, which Axis states cannot be copied by screenshot or photocopy. Multi-factor authentication with a PIN is also supported.
Axis door controllers are OSDP Verified, and Axis OSDP readers support Secure Channel and are OSDP Secure Profile verified. Devices include Axis Edge Vault, and ACS Pro is developed under the Axis Security Development Model, with end-to-end encrypted communication in Secure Entry.
Integration options vary by system. BTI confirms current options for your specific HR or time-and-attendance platforms before you commit.
Yes. Axis lists its door controllers as supported by partner solutions, including AXIS Secure Entry for Milestone XProtect and Axis Powered by Genetec.
Yes. ASSA ABLOY Aperio wireless locks are supported with the AXIS Door Controller Extension license, and elevator floor access control is available in Secure Entry.
Whether you are adding access control to an existing Axis video system or replacing an aging platform, BTI will walk your doors, review your cameras and credentials, and deliver a clear, line-item recommendation.
