Garages and venues share the same security problem at different scales: lots of people and vehicles, many entrances, long stretches with no staff, and liability when something goes wrong. BTI designs, installs, monitors and supports parking garage security systems (cameras, license plate recognition, gate and barrier integration, access control and emergency call boxes) and arena, stadium, theater and event center security for gates, concourses and back-of-house. BTI provides video surveillance for The Parking Spot, with cameras at its airport parking locations, and supports entertainment and event venues across Los Angeles, Chicago and Phoenix, including camera systems for a major sports and entertainment arena.

Coverage at entries and exits, pay stations, lanes, stairwells, elevator lobbies and the dark corners where break-ins happen. BTI designs for low light, glare at garage openings and long ramps, with recording that holds up as evidence for police and liability claims. → Commercial security camera systems · Axis network cameras
LPR cameras at entry and exit lanes support ticketless and gateless parking, permit and monthly parker validation, and enforcement, and give security a searchable record of every vehicle. Read rates depend on camera placement, angles, lighting and lane speed, which is why design matters as much as the camera.
Gate and barrier integration, anti-pass-back, monthly parker credentials and mobile access, and secured doors for stairwells, offices and equipment rooms. BTI designs, sells, installs, supports and takes over existing Brivo accounts, so you can switch integrators without replacing hardware or re-enrolling users. → Access control solutions · Brivo access control
IP call boxes and intercoms with video, so a parker who needs help reaches a person who can see them. → Parking call boxes and intercoms · Axis network intercoms
Live operators who can see an incident, speak through on-site speakers and dispatch help for unmanned garages and lots. BTI's SOC 2 audited NOC/SOC partner uses automation to triage alerts: 10,000+ alerts handled, zero missed.
License plate data is regulated. In California, ALPR operators must maintain security safeguards and implement a usage and privacy policy, posted on their website if they have one (Cal. Civil Code 1798.90.51). BTI sets retention, access and logging to support your policy. This is not legal advice.
BTI supports entertainment and event venues across Los Angeles, Chicago and Phoenix, designing coverage for each building's layout and crowd patterns. Coverage for gates and ticketing, concourses, seating bowls, parking and docks, designed for crowd density and fast search after an incident.
Access control for staff, vendors, performers and media areas, with schedules by event and audit logs. Facial authentication for credentialed staff is used only where your policy and applicable law allow it, and biometric privacy laws such as Illinois' BIPA can apply to Chicago-area venues.
Cameras and analytics that show queue lengths and crowd flow at entry and exit points, planned with CISA's Public Venue Security Resources Guide and Mass Gathering Security Planning Tool.
Cameras, LPR, intercoms and access panels are network devices, and CISA and NCS4 outline the key vulnerabilities of connected stadium devices (CISA Stadium Spotlight). BTI segments and monitors them with the team that runs your network. → Parking and venue cybersecurity
AI turns cameras into operations tools: LPR matching, loitering and after-hours presence alerts in garages, vehicles in fire lanes, occupancy counts by level, and crowd density and queue analytics at venue gates. BTI writes custom video analytics for your sites and connects alerts to the people and workflows that act on them, such as a plate mismatch that creates a review task with the clip attached. Treat vendor AI claims with care: in 2024 the FTC acted against an AI weapons-screening vendor over unsupported accuracy claims (FTC). BTI tests analytics on your cameras before you depend on them. As your Guided Automation Partner, BTI governs plate and face data under policies aligned with the NIST AI Risk Management Framework, without adding another per-camera AI subscription. → AI for parking and venues · Video analytics
The biggest decision in a security system usually isn't the camera brand. It's whether you run an owned platform, hosted on premises or in a private cloud, or a cloud-managed platform that the vendor hosts and runs for you. BTI sells, installs and supports both: owned platforms such as Axis Camera Station, Milestone XProtect, exacqVision, Kantech EntraPass, RS2 Technologies and Software House C•CURE 9000, and cloud-managed options including YourSix and Brivo cloud video. We recommend the fit; we don't have a stake in the answer.
Cloud-managed platforms are a real convenience. You get a working solution out of the box, then customize it within the options the vendor provides. For a remote surface lot or a small single-site operation, that can be the right call.
Owned platforms usually deliver more long-term value. You own the software and the data, and BTI can quickly customize the system: custom video analytics, integrations with LPR, PARCS, intercoms, access control and ticketing, and AI on your terms. The trade-off is that an owned system has to be cybersecured and maintained, which is what co-management with BTI covers.
The IT objection, head on. Many IT teams ask for cloud-only security because past integrators did a poor job managing on-premises systems: unpatched servers, default passwords, no monitoring. That's a fair complaint about how those systems were managed, not about owning them. BTI co-manages owned platforms with your IT team, covering patching, hardening, monitoring and 24/7 support, with our SOC 2 audited NOC/SOC partner.
Which fits you?
Not sure? BTI will lay out both options with a multi-year cost comparison for your sites.

Parking & Venues: Overview · Communications
LPR cameras read plates at entry and exit, match them to a payment, permit or reservation, and open the gate or log the session. Accuracy depends on camera placement, lighting and lane design.
It depends on entries and exits, levels, stairwells, elevators, pay stations and sight lines. BTI designs coverage from a site walk rather than a fixed count.
Requirements depend on local code, owner policy and the facility type. Many operators install them because they reduce response times and liability. BTI can advise on placement.
Only where your policy and applicable law allow it. Biometric privacy laws, such as Illinois' BIPA, can require notice and consent.
Yes. Camera analytics can count vehicles by level and estimate crowd density and queue length at gates, sending alerts when thresholds are reached.
It depends on your sites. Cloud-managed platforms are convenient and work out of the box, which suits a remote surface lot or a small single-site operation. Owned platforms, on premises or in a private cloud, give you control, your own data and fast customization, including AI analytics with minimal license fees. If the push for cloud-only comes from past integrators who didn't patch or monitor on-premises systems, BTI co-management (patching, hardening, monitoring and 24/7 support) addresses that. BTI sells and supports both and recommends the fit.
