Security camera installation, design and support for warehouses, plants, offices, retail centers, schools and public sites in Pasadena, Alhambra, El Monte, West Covina, City of Industry, Diamond Bar and Pomona. Every system is designed before we install it, secured on your network and supported by a team based just south of the valley.

BTI Communications Group, LTD. provides commercial security camera installation, design and service in the San Gabriel Valley from its Santa Fe Springs office, and has been in business for over 40 years. We install Axis, Avigilon, exacqVision, Milestone XProtect, OpenEye, Cisco Meraki MV, Bosch and Brivo Eagle Eye cloud video for sites in Pasadena, Alhambra, Monterey Park, El Monte, West Covina, City of Industry, Diamond Bar, Arcadia, Azusa and Pomona, and we secure every camera on your network. Call 562-298-5070 or request a free site assessment.
Most camera complaints trace back to design: a lens too wide to read a face at the door, a camera aimed into the afternoon sun, a parking lot with no coverage at the drive aisle. We start every San Gabriel Valley project with a site survey and a coverage design, and place each camera on your floor plan or an aerial image with its lens, field of view and detection distance modeled.
You see the coverage map, the camera list and the recording plan before you approve anything. That is also the document your insurer, landlord or auditor can review.

Dock doors, trailer yards, gates and fence lines in City of Industry, Walnut and La Puente. Multisensor cameras cover wide yards with fewer poles.
Production floors, shipping areas and restricted rooms in El Monte, South El Monte, Irwindale, Azusa and Pomona, with retention and footage access set to match customer requirements.
Lobby, elevator, garage and perimeter coverage for offices in Pasadena, Arcadia, Alhambra and Diamond Bar.
Entries, registers, lots and service drives in West Covina, Arcadia, Monterey Park and along the 10, with remote viewing for owners who manage several locations.
Perimeter, gate and pump house coverage for water utilities and remote sites, on segmented networks with alerts sent to staff after hours.
Campus, city and clinic coverage, privacy zones that keep exam areas out of view, NDAA compliant hardware and purchasing through GSA, CMAS or TESMA contracts.

We choose the platform per site, not per vendor. Many clients already have cameras on the wall, and we keep the ones that still perform.

One camera model rarely fits a whole site. This is how we usually match cameras to the places San Gabriel Valley businesses need to watch.
| Area | Goal | Typical camera |
|---|---|---|
| Main entries and lobbies | Identify every person who enters | Fixed dome or bullet with a narrow field of view at face height |
| Parking lots and yards | See activity across a wide area | Multisensor or panoramic camera on a pole or roof edge |
| Gates and garage entries | Capture vehicles and plates | License plate recognition camera with its own lighting |
| Dock doors and loading areas | Watch shipments and claims | A bullet camera at each dock door plus an overview camera |
| Fence lines and perimeters | Detect people before they reach the building | Analytics camera or radar with talk down speakers |
| Registers and counters | Review transactions and disputes | Overhead dome with a narrow view |
| Server rooms and storage | Record who touched what | Small dome tied to the door reader |
Every placement is confirmed in the coverage design before installation.
Modern cameras do more than record. We set up the analytics each site needs and tune them so alerts stay useful instead of noisy.
Want help after hours? 24/7 system health and alert monitoring available, plus a 24/7 converged security NOC/SOC. See Axis audio and talk down and Axis radar.

Cameras are computers on your network. A camera system with default passwords and open ports is a way into the rest of the business. Because BTI is also an IT and cybersecurity provider, we design camera networks the way your IT team would.
Need more than cameras? See managed IT in the San Gabriel Valley and cybersecurity in Los Angeles.
California Penal Code 632 restricts recording confidential conversations without consent. We leave audio recording off by default and use speakers for talk down instead of microphones where privacy is a concern.
California Labor Code 435 bars employers from recording in restrooms, locker rooms and changing rooms. Privacy masks keep other sensitive areas out of view.
We set how long footage is kept, who can export it and how exports are logged, so you can show how video is controlled.
Government buyers and federal contractors can choose cameras and recorders that meet Section 889 of the NDAA.
BTI is a Licensed Alarm Company Operator, ACO #7670, with C-7 License 807767, and our team passes LiveScan background checks.
GSA contract holder (47QTCA21D00BA) and CMAS and TESMA contract awardee (California).
Financing at 3.99% is available for qualified buyers, subject to credit approval. Upgrading an older system? We can keep working cameras and replace the recorder first. See our commercial security camera systems overview and the Los Angeles camera page for LA County sites.
Many San Gabriel Valley buildings still run analog or early IP cameras on an aging recorder. A full rip and replace is rarely needed.
BTI has designed and installed camera systems for water utilities, public agencies, manufacturers and office buildings across Southern California. Yes. Pasadena is about 15 miles from our office in a straight line, and we install and service camera systems for offices, garages, schools, clinics and multi-tenant buildings there and in South Pasadena, San Marino and Arcadia.
Yes. We design dock, trailer yard, gate and fence line coverage for distribution centers and importers in City of Industry, Walnut, La Puente and along the 60, with plate recognition at gate lanes and alerts after hours.
Most projects follow a free site assessment, a written coverage design and proposal, then a scheduled install. Install time depends on camera count, cabling paths and lift work, and we plan around shifts and deliveries so the site stays open.
Usually some of them. We test each camera for image quality, firmware support and security, keep the ones that pass and replace failed or unsupported units. Many platforms we install record mixed camera brands.
Cloud video suits offices and retail with a few cameras per site. On premises recorders suit yards, warehouses and plants with many cameras and long retention. Hybrid options such as OpenEye cloud video keep video local and manage it in the cloud.
Yes. We install license plate recognition at truck gates, garage entries and drive aisles, and connect reads to alerts and search in your video platform.
Only with care. State law limits recording private conversations without consent, so we leave audio recording off by default and help you decide where signage and consent make it appropriate, such as a gate intercom.
Yes. Government agencies and federal contractors can choose camera and recorder models that meet Section 889 of the NDAA.
After a free site assessment and a coverage design, we send a written proposal with every camera, license and labor item listed.
Yes. We link video to door and gate events so a denied badge or forced door opens the matching clip. See access control in the San Gabriel Valley.
Optional alert monitoring and our converged security NOC/SOC can watch for events after hours, around the clock. We size the plan with you during the consultation.
A free assessment includes a site walk, a coverage design and a written scope.
