Most camera complaints trace back to design: a lens too wide to read a face at the door, a camera aimed into the afternoon sun, a parking lot with no coverage at the drive aisle. We start every Orange County project in System Surveyor, the site survey and design platform, and place each camera on your floor plan or an aerial image with its lens, field of view and detection distance modeled.
You see the coverage map, the camera list and the recording plan before you approve anything. That is also the document your insurer, landlord or auditor can review.

Lobby, elevator, garage and perimeter coverage for Irvine, Costa Mesa, Newport Beach and Santa Ana offices, with video tied to the badge readers at each entry.
Dock doors, yards, gates and fence lines in Anaheim, Fullerton, Santa Ana, Buena Park and Brea. Multisensor cameras cover wide yards with fewer poles.
Production floors, shipping areas and restricted rooms, with retention and access to footage set to match customer and export control requirements.
Entries, registers, back doors and parking lots, with remote viewing for owners who manage several Orange County locations.
Campus, city and special district coverage, NDAA compliant hardware and purchasing through GSA, CMAS or TESMA contracts.
Waiting rooms, entries, medication storage and parking, with privacy zones that keep exam areas out of view.

We choose the platform per site, not per vendor. Many Orange County clients already have cameras on the wall, and we keep the ones that still perform.
| Platform | Good fit | Learn more |
|---|---|---|
| Axis | Cameras, multisensors, audio and radar from an Authorized and Certified Axis Gold Partner. | Axis cameras |
| Avigilon Unity | On premises video and analytics for campuses, plants and multi-building sites. | Avigilon Unity video |
| Avigilon Alta | Cloud video for offices and retail that want no on site server. | Avigilon Alta video |
| exacqVision | Flexible recorders and VMS that run with many camera brands. | exacqVision |
| Milestone XProtect | Open VMS for large and complex systems, from a Milestone Advanced Partner. | Milestone XProtect |
| OpenEye | Hybrid cloud video for multi-site businesses. | OpenEye |
| Cisco Meraki MV | Cloud managed smart cameras from a Cisco Meraki partner, managed with your Meraki network. | Cisco Meraki MV cameras |
| Bosch | Cameras and intrusion panels from a Bosch partner. | Bosch security |
| Brivo Eagle Eye | Cloud video that is part of Brivo, managed beside your Brivo doors. | Brivo Eagle Eye video in Orange County |
One camera model rarely fits a whole site. This is how we usually match cameras to the places Orange County businesses need to watch.
| Area | Goal | Typical camera |
|---|---|---|
| Main entries and lobbies | Identify every person who enters | Fixed dome or bullet with a narrow field of view at face height |
| Parking lots and yards | See activity across a wide area | Multisensor or panoramic camera on a pole or roof edge |
| Gates and garage entries | Capture vehicles and plates | License plate recognition camera with its own lighting |
| Dock doors and loading areas | Watch shipments and claims | A bullet camera at each dock door plus an overview camera |
| Fence lines and perimeters | Detect people before they reach the building | Analytics camera or radar with talk down speakers |
| Registers and counters | Review transactions and disputes | Overhead dome with a narrow view |
| Server rooms and storage | Record who touched what | Small dome tied to the door reader |
Every placement is confirmed in the System Surveyor design before installation.
Modern cameras do more than record. We set up the analytics each site needs and tune them so alerts stay useful instead of noisy.
Want help after hours? 24/7 system health and alert monitoring available, plus a 24/7 converged security NOC/SOC. See Axis audio and talk down and Axis radar.

Cameras are computers on your network. A camera system with default passwords and open ports is a way into the rest of the business. Because BTI is also an IT and cybersecurity provider, we design camera networks the way your IT team would.
Need more than cameras? See managed IT in Orange County and cybersecurity in Orange County.
California Penal Code 632 restricts recording confidential conversations without consent. We leave audio recording off by default and use speakers for talk down instead of microphones where privacy is a concern.
California Labor Code 435 bars employers from recording in restrooms, locker rooms and changing rooms. Privacy masks keep other sensitive areas out of view.
We set how long footage is kept, who can export it and how exports are logged, so you can show how video is controlled.
Government buyers and federal contractors can choose cameras and recorders that meet Section 889 of the NDAA.
BTI is a Licensed Alarm Company Operator, ACO #7670, with C-7 License 807767, and our team passes LiveScan background checks.

Financing at 3.99% is available for qualified buyers, subject to credit approval. Upgrading an older system? We can keep working cameras and replace the recorder first. See our commercial security camera systems overview and the Los Angeles camera page for LA County sites.
Many Orange County buildings still run analog or early IP cameras on an aging recorder. A full rip and replace is rarely needed.

Usually some of them. We test each camera for image quality, firmware support and security, keep the ones that pass and replace failed or unsupported units. Many platforms we install record mixed camera brands.
Cloud video suits offices and retail with a few cameras per site and no IT staff on site. On premises recorders suit warehouses, plants and campuses with many cameras and long retention. Hybrid options keep video local and manage it in the cloud.
