BTI Communications Group, LTD. is a commercial security integrator with an office in Santa Fe Springs serving the Inland Empire, in business for over 40 years. We install access control for Inland Empire plants, from food and beverage producers to building products, metal and equipment makers in Corona, Riverside, Chino and Ontario. Requirements
Recommended setup
Plants in Corona, Riverside, Chino, Ontario and Rancho Cucamonga range from small machine shops to large food and building products operations. The setup below scales across that range.
Gate readers, employee parking control and a staffed or intercom entry for visitors.
Readers on doors into production, with groups by shift, line and training.
Tool cribs, chemical storage, maintenance and server rooms on a short access list.
Temporary credentials tied to a sponsor and an end date.
Durable cards or fobs for the floor, mobile credentials for managers.
Readers and enclosures rated for dust, moisture and vibration where needed.
Cameras on restricted doors and shipping so each event has a clip.
Every plant is laid out differently, so BTI maps zones with your plant manager before choosing hardware. Production lines, maintenance shops, tool cribs, chemical storage and server rooms each get their own access group, and badges can follow training records so only qualified staff open a given door.
Shift schedules keep the floor locked to anyone outside their shift, and holiday and shutdown schedules are loaded once for the year.
Plants bring in contractors for maintenance, installs and shutdowns. BTI issues temporary credentials tied to a sponsor and an end date, so access stops when the job ends, and keeps the door logs that customer audits and safety programs ask for.
CMMC and other compliance work is completed and contracted by BTI and its partners, including top industry professionals in each category.
Door controllers live on the plant network, often near production equipment. BTI places access control on its own network segment, keeps firmware current and watches controller health through the 24/7 NOC/SOC, so a door problem is found before a shift change.

Standards and compliance
| Requirement | Source | What it means for your doors |
|---|---|---|
| Electrified egress doors | California Building Code and California Fire Code, enforced by the city building department and the local fire authority | Sensor or push-button release, release on power loss where required, and a tie to the building life safety system where the code calls for it. |
| Accessibility | California Building Code Chapter 11B | Readers, keypads and intercoms mounted at accessible heights with hardware that is easy to operate. |
| Workplace violence prevention | California Labor Code 6401.9 (SB 553) | Controlled entries, visitor records and lockdown give the employer's written prevention plan practical controls. |
| Hazardous materials areas | California Fire Code and the local fire authority | Doors to chemical and hazardous storage keep required egress and signage while access stays limited. |
Your building official and fire authority make the final call on code questions; BTI designs to pass their review the first time.
