IoT devices are commonly used by hackers to move laterally across networks and to find and exploit vulnerabilities elsewhere on the network or in the cloud. Cameras, access control devices, VoIP devices, cell phones, and industrial operating technology (OT) devices are increasingly part of smart building device security environments. Without strong cybersecurity for IoT devices, these assets may become a launching pad for industrial espionage or hacking.
In 2025, industry analysts estimate that between 20% to 33% of cyber incidents involved IoT devices as either the initial attack vector or a contributor to lateral movement. These “smart” devices, including IP cameras, phones, and access control systems, are increasingly exploited to breach networks, extract data, and disrupt operations.
There are many layers of defenses that IT service organizations deploy against IoT attacks, but few IT services or cybersecurity companies have done much to manage the vulnerabilities in the IoT devices themselves until recently.
The Business Benefit of IoT Security Services
IoT security solutions are no longer optional. They are foundational tools to modern cybersecurity, compliance, and operational continuity. Thus, the primary business benefit of managing IoT vulnerabilities and defenses is the prevention of breaches that are otherwise likely to occur.
Our Comprehensive IOT Cybersecurity Services
IoT Security Vulnerability Management
IoT vulnerability management is more than software detecting and reporting critical vulnerability errors. Effective vulnerability management requires detection, swift response, and thorough remediation. BTI delivers all three. Closing the gap between identification and protection.
IoT cybersecurity can be extended to include electronic security systems. This level of protection may involve cross correlation of events between physical access control and camera events with logical, role-based, mandatory, and Attribute-Based access control. This is a CISA-DHS-ISC recommended best practice.
Device Monitoring and Management
Increasingly, IoT devices are mission critical devices controlling industrial or building automation systems vital to core business functions. BTI’s monitoring goes beyond IT firewalls. It extends to mission-critical IoT devices, building systems, and industrial controls. We monitor uptime, security, and compliance. Protecting revenue, not just data.
Device & Endpoint Protection
Secure every connected asset with authentication, encryption, and real-time monitoring. BTI ensures each IoT device; from sensors to cameras, is verified, protected, and continuously watched for suspicious activity.
Network Segmentation & Access Control
Prevent breaches before they spread. BTI’s IoT security solutions use segmentation and zero-trust access controls to isolate high-risk devices and block lateral movement across your network.
Cloud & Data Security for IoT
Protect your IoT data wherever it travels. Our Internet of Things security solutions safeguard telemetry and analytics through end-to-end encryption and audit-ready visibility across all cloud environments.
Monitoring, Threat Detection & Response
Stay ahead of attacks with 24/7 monitoring, predictive alerts, and rapid response. BTI identifies and contains threats in real time to maintain uptime and operational continuity.
IoT Compliance & Governance
BTI’s IoT security solutions aren’t one-size-fits-all; they’re built to align with your infrastructure, operations, and growth trajectory.
Build with Scalability and Flexibility in Mind
BTI’s IoT cybersecurity services evolve as your operations do. We design solutions that grow with your business; seamlessly integrating new devices, applications, and cloud environments without sacrificing security or performance. Whether it’s protecting critical manufacturing systems, hospital networks, or smart facilities, BTI ensures you’re secure today and prepared for tomorrow.
