Brivo Access Control in Los Angeles

BTI designs, sells, installs, supports and takes over existing Brivo accounts for companies, schools and public agencies across Los Angeles, Orange County, the Inland Empire and Ventura County. You get one local team for the door hardware, the cloud account and every service call after go-live.

How our Los Angeles team handles Brivo projects

Looking for a Brivo dealer in Los Angeles who still picks up the phone two years after install? Here is what the work covers, from the first door survey to the hundredth credential.

Door-by-door design

Engineers walk every opening and record frame type, existing locks, power and cable paths, then turn that into a door schedule that matches how staff, vendors and visitors really move through the building.

Quoting and licensing

Brivo Security Suite subscriptions, Brivo panels, OSDP readers and Brivo Mobile Pass or wallet credentials appear as separate line items, so finance can see what is hardware and what renews every year.

Installation and commissioning

Our low-voltage crews pull cable, mount readers, wire electrified locks and door contacts, and test each opening with your team before it goes live.

Video and system integration

Eagle Eye cloud cameras are now part of the Brivo platform, so a badge event can open its clip in the same portal. Working IP cameras, intrusion panels and third party video systems can be tied in as well.

Training and handoff

Administrators learn schedules, holidays, lockdowns and user changes in the Brivo web portal and mobile admin app before our crew leaves the job.

Already on Brivo? We take over existing accounts

Plenty of Southern California sites inherit a Brivo system from a previous integrator, a landlord or a merged company. BTI can become your service provider on that same account. Once you confirm ownership, we handle the provider change with Brivo, then audit users, schedules and hardware so nothing breaks during the move.

  • Account transfer, admin rights and user cleanup
  • License renewals and door counts checked before they lapse
  • Panel, reader, lock and power supply health checks
  • Reader upgrades to OSDP and mobile credentials
  • 24/7 system health and alert monitoring available, plus a 24/7 converged security NOC/SOC

Service requests go through 800-HELP-BTI around the clock, and field work is scheduled from our Santa Fe Springs office at 562-298-5000.

Public agency headquarters, Southern California

A public agency moved security at its headquarters from a prior vendor to BTI. We transferred its existing Brivo account, brought doors, video and intrusion alarms onto one platform with mobile access, added managed access control services and mapped a phased refresh of older cameras.

Large facility network fix, Torrance area

A large facility near Torrance called BTI about network problems that kept disrupting the systems on site. Our engineers traced the faults and corrected the network so the connected systems ran steadily again.

Adding Eagle Eye cameras to Brivo in Los Angeles

With the merger completed on December 29, 2025, Eagle Eye sits inside Brivo. Our Los Angeles crews quote Brivo Security Suite in Standard, Professional, Enterprise and Multifamily editions. Door events and Eagle Eye clips sit under one login, and the video side is camera agnostic, so working IP cameras can often stay. Recording options, licensing and Eagle Eye account takeovers are covered on our Brivo Eagle Eye video in Los Angeles page.

What's new with Brivo in 2026 for Los Angeles sites

Brivo shipped a lot between late 2025 and this fall. These are the releases our Santa Fe Springs team brings up with LA property managers and facility leads.

Brivo Security Suite

Brivo Security Suite brings access control, video, visitor management and intrusion into one cloud platform, and it integrates with Eagle Eye cloud video. It is the platform we quote for LA offices, warehouses and apartment buildings.

AI help for service calls

Brivo now offers Brivo Reseller MCP, a Model Context Protocol server that lets Brivo dealers connect AI assistants to Brivo account data. BTI can use it to spot offline panels and reader errors sooner. The first release is read only, so it cannot change settings or unlock doors.

Lockdown by voice or text

Brivo Genius Mobile Agent, winner of a Security Sales & Integration 2026 MVP award, lets administrators run commands such as a lockdown using simple voice or text prompts.

Award for gun detection

Brivo Eagle Eye Gun Detection was named a 2026 Secure Campus Award winner, according to a July 14, 2026 announcement from Brivo. It runs in the same Brivo platform that can manage a campus's doors and video. Source: Brivo newsroom, brivo.com/newsroom (July 14, 2026).

Intrusion inside Brivo

Radionix is the new name for the former Bosch intrusion line. Supported panels still arm and disarm from the Brivo web portal, the mobile app or a double card swipe.

Visitors and wallet badges

Guest check-in now lives inside the suite through Envoy, and staff can carry a badge on their phone with Brivo Mobile Pass or a wallet pass.

Wi-Fi locks for interior doors

Schlage XE360 Series locks with RealSync now work inside Brivo Security Suite for interior and secondary doors.

Brivo Security Suite at a glance

The features LA buyers compare most often:

  • Brivo Security Suite editions: Standard, Professional, Enterprise and Multifamily
  • Access, video, visitor management and intrusion in one cloud dashboard
  • Remote unlock, schedules and one-touch emergency lockdown
  • Mobile Pass plus Apple Wallet and Google Wallet badges
  • Encrypted OSDP readers with tamper alerts
  • Single sign-on with Entra ID and Okta

Burglar alarm and intrusion integration with Brivo

Many Los Angeles buildings already have a burglar alarm panel. Brivo documents two intrusion paths, so arming, disarming and alarm events can live next to your access events instead of on a separate keypad.

Intrusion optionWhat Brivo documentsWhat BTI checks on site
Bosch B and G Series (now sold under the Radionix brand)Arm and disarm from Brivo, double swipe at a reader to arm, and panel events in the Brivo audit log (supported panel firmware required)Panel model and firmware, network path to the panel, and which areas each reader should arm

Brivo 24/7 monitoring with Bosch intrusionBrivo announced intrusion alarms with professional monitoring inside Brivo Security Suite in November 2025Whether central station monitoring through Brivo or your current provider fits your site

Other alarm brands may connect through dry contact inputs on Brivo panels. We test that during the survey rather than promise it up front.

Third party VMS integration: Eagle Eye, OpenEye and Milestone XProtect

Brivo is an open platform. If your Los Angeles site already records on another video system, it can usually stay. These are the video integrations Brivo lists today.

How a Brivo project works in Los Angeles: a buyer's guide

Most LA buyers ask the same five questions before they sign. Here is the order we answer them in.

  1. Count the openings. List every door, gate, elevator and parking entry that needs a reader, plus the ones that only need a door contact
  2. Decide what stays. Our survey shows which strikes, mag locks and readers can be reused and which must be replaced
  3. Pick credentials. Choose between cards, fobs and Brivo Mobile Pass, or run both while staff switch to phones
  4. Plan video and alarms. Decide whether Eagle Eye cameras, an existing VMS or a burglar panel should report into Brivo
  5. Schedule the cutover. Doors move in groups after hours so tenants and staff never lose access
  6. Train and hand off. Admins get a written door schedule and hands on portal time before we close the job

Brivo cloud access control vs a legacy on premises system

Plenty of LA County buildings still run access control on a server in a closet. This is how that compares with Brivo.

QuestionBrivo cloudLegacy on premises server

We help you weigh both. Some secure areas keep an on premises system for policy reasons.

Local code notes for Los Angeles door projects

Rules vary by city and building, so our team confirms requirements with the local building department before work starts. Three topics come up on almost every LA job.

Egress doors

Chapter 10 of the California Building Code sets how electrically controlled egress doors must release, including sensor release and delayed egress options. Doors in the path of travel must still open from the inside without a key.

Accessible readers

Under the 2010 ADA Standards, readers and buttons people must operate generally sit within the 15 to 48 inch reach range. We mount to that range unless the AHJ says otherwise.

Licensing

California requires an Alarm Company Operator license for alarm work. BTI holds ACO #7670 and C7 License 807767.

Brivo in Los Angeles: questions we hear

Can BTI take over a Brivo account another company installed?

Yes. Account takeovers are a regular part of our Brivo work. After you confirm you own the system, we arrange the provider change with Brivo, review every user and schedule, and fix doors that show offline or forced.

Do we have to replace our door hardware to switch to Brivo?

Not always. Many electrified locks, strikes, door contacts and request-to-exit devices can stay. The survey tells you which openings can reuse hardware and which need new readers or locks.

Can Brivo show camera video next to door events?

Yes. Eagle Eye cloud video is now part of Brivo, so an access event can open the matching clip in the same Brivo interface. Existing Axis cameras on site may also be connected after we check models and bandwidth.

What happens to the doors if our internet goes down?

Brivo panels keep making access decisions locally with the credentials they already hold, then sync events back to the cloud once the connection returns.

Which areas does the Santa Fe Springs team serve?

All of LA and Orange counties, plus Riverside, San Bernardino and Ventura counties. Clients with sites outside Southern California can also be supported by our Chicago and Phoenix offices.

Can California public agencies buy through a contract?

BTI holds GSA contract 47QTCA21D00BA and is a CMAS and TESMA contract awardee (California). We confirm which vehicle fits your Brivo scope during the consultation.

Can BTI watch the system after go-live?

Yes. Monitoring plans track panel health, offline doors and alarm events, and alerts reach our converged security NOC/SOC at any hour. We size the plan with you during the consultation.

Are Eagle Eye cameras part of Brivo now?

Yes. Since the merger with Eagle Eye Networks closed in late December 2025, Eagle Eye cloud cameras and recording sit inside the Brivo platform. Our Los Angeles team can quote doors and cameras together.

Can Brivo arm and disarm our burglar alarm?

With supported panels, yes. Brivo documents Bosch B and G Series panels and Alula communicators, so staff can arm or disarm from Brivo or with a double swipe at a reader. We confirm your panel model first.

Can we keep our current VMS with Brivo?

Often. Brivo lists OpenEye and Milestone XProtect alongside its own Eagle Eye video. If you record on another platform, we check what connection it supports before you commit.

Can Brivo cover interior doors without new wiring?

Yes. Brivo supports Schlage XE360 Series locks with RealSync, which stay connected over existing building Wi-Fi with no extra panels or gateways.

Can staff use a phone as their Brivo badge?

Yes. Brivo Mobile Pass runs on staff phones, and employee badges can also be added to Apple Wallet or Google Wallet. Our LA team can keep cards and phone credentials working side by side during a phased switch.

How does Brivo handle visitors at a Los Angeles front desk?

Brivo Visitor Management, powered by Envoy, is part of Brivo Security Suite. A receptionist can issue a guest a mobile pass, PIN or QR code from the same system that runs the doors.
