BTI sells, installs and supports exacqVision recorders and software for businesses, healthcare networks and government sites throughout LA and Orange counties, Riverside and San Bernardino counties and Ventura County. We also take over exacqVision systems that another company installed and keep them licensed, patched and recording.

Most exacqVision calls we get start with a recorder that needs attention, a license that lapsed or a site that is adding cameras. Here is what we handle.

We diagnose recorders that drop cameras, run out of disk or stop exporting, replace failed drives and power supplies, and get recording back to normal.
exacqVision Professional, Enterprise and Edge licenses and their Software Subscription Agreements (SSA) are tracked per server, so version upgrades remain available when you need them.
When a recorder reaches end of life, we size a replacement exacqVision server for your camera count and retention, then migrate cameras and settings with a short, planned recording gap.

Door events from Kantech EntraPass and alarms from supported intrusion panels can be linked to exacqVision so staff review the related video in one client.

New Axis and other IP cameras are added to existing exacqVision servers, with bandwidth and storage checked before anything goes live.
Many LA-area sites run exacqVision that was installed years ago by a company that is no longer around. BTI can pick up support on the system you have. We document each server, camera and license, confirm SSA status, and fix the issues that put recorded video at risk.

BTI has supported security for a large community health network since 2017: about 2,800 Axis cameras, more than 1,000 Kantech doors and exacqVision recording across dozens of locations. A 2026 modernization plan separates security devices from clinical networks while keeping the existing cameras in service.
When a large South Bay facility near Torrance kept losing recording and other connected systems to network trouble, BTI tracked down the failures and corrected the network so cameras and recorders stayed online.

Exacq shipped versions 26.0 and 26.1 in 2026. These are the changes our Santa Fe Springs team applies most on LA servers.
exacqVision compares live snapshots with reference images and flags changes and failures automatically, with alerts sent through the rules engine. Version 26.1 made the checks faster and more accurate.
The Desktop Client and the new exacqVision Mobile App can connect through a cloud relay, so LA sites skip port forwarding and VPN setup.
Version 26.0 lets staff log in with Microsoft Entra ID or Okta accounts, including multifactor authentication.
The app adds an Alerts Center, search across up to 16 cameras on one synchronized timeline, and VideoPush for sending a clip from search results to a colleague.
26.1 adds enforced and self-service password changes, plus rules and real-time alerts when users, servers, failover or licenses change.
Kantech and SALTO lock events, such as access granted or denied, are now captured in 26.1 and searchable next to the matching video.
Current facts for LA buyers:
exacqVision ties into the access control and alarm systems many LA buildings already have. These are the links we set up most.
| Integration | What it does | What we check |
|---|---|---|
| Kantech EntraPass | Door events open the matching exacqVision video | EntraPass version and exacqVision license tier |
| Intrusion panels | Alarm events tied to camera views | Panel model and communication path |
| Axis, Illustra and ONVIF cameras | Adds cameras to existing servers | Model support and storage headroom |
| Brivo access control | Exacq documents a Brivo integration for Professional and Enterprise editions | License tier and Brivo account access |
See Kantech access control in Los Angeles for the door side.
The table above shows the pairings we set up most. This is the wider list, taken from Exacq and Johnson Controls documentation.
Most LA calls start with a recorder that is failing or an installer who stopped answering. Here is how we take it from there.

exacqVision comes in three editions. Camera limits change with versions, so we confirm current limits when we quote.
| Edition | Who it suits | Main additions |
|---|---|---|
| Professional | Businesses that need integrations and better search | Access control and alarm integrations, advanced search |
| Enterprise | Multi-site LA organizations | Central management, Active Directory and LDAP, health dashboard |
| Edge | Small or remote spots without a recorder | exacqVision installed on the camera itself (supported Axis and Illustra models) |
We also support Milestone XProtect, so if you are weighing exacqVision against another VMS we can lay out both honestly.
A few California rules shape how recorders and cameras are set up. We flag them; your counsel decides.
California Penal Code 632 generally requires all party consent to record confidential conversations, so we ship recorders with audio disabled and turn it on only with counsel's sign off.
Recorders and cabling must not block exits or required clearances, and work above ceilings follows the local AHJ.
BTI holds California ACO #7670 and C7 License 807767 for alarm and low voltage work.

Parking garage and venue security systems →Yes. We start with an inventory of servers, licenses and cameras, check SSA status, and recommend repairs or upgrades. You approve every change first.
The Software Subscription Agreement (SSA) gives each licensed server access to new exacqVision versions. Without a current SSA, upgrades require a renewal first, so we track the dates for you.
It depends on age, drive health and whether the hardware still runs a supported operating system. We test the unit and show you both options with the tradeoffs.
Yes. exacqVision integrates with Kantech EntraPass, so door events can be searched alongside video, and supported intrusion panels can be added to the same view.
Usually. We check license count, storage and network capacity, then add the cameras and confirm recording on each one.
Yes. Public buyers in California can work through BTI's CMAS or TESMA awards, or through GSA contract 47QTCA21D00BA.
Yes. Optional monitoring alerts our team when a recorder goes offline, a drive starts failing or a camera stops recording, so problems get fixed before footage is needed.
Professional covers integrations and advanced search on a server. Enterprise adds central management, Active Directory and a health dashboard for multi-site systems. Edge runs exacqVision on supported Axis and Illustra cameras for small or remote spots.
Yes, according to Exacq, which lists Brivo among its integrations for the Professional and Enterprise editions. We confirm your license tier before setting it up.
Yes. We support both platforms, so we can compare them against your camera count, sites and integrations without pushing one.
Exacq has deprecated that entry edition. Your recorder keeps working, but new licenses are Professional, Enterprise or Edge, and our LA team can review the server and plan the move with your existing cameras.
Yes. Recent Desktop Client versions and the new Mobile App reach your LA servers over a cloud relay, so no ports are forwarded and no VPN is needed.
Yes. Since version 26.0, exacqVision supports Microsoft Entra ID and Okta single sign-on, multifactor authentication included.
Yes. Exacq Active Intelligence servers, powered by Scylla, detect events such as intrusion, weapons, fights and falls, and recent versions add audio analytics on supported Axis cameras.
