Managed IT Services Pricing: $60–$290 per User per Month
Last updated: October 2026 · By Eric Brackett, Founder, BTI Group
Save money by consolidating vendors and services, streamline IT productivity, and get IT that actively supports your business. BTI replaces a patchwork of IT, security, network, communications and physical-security vendors with one accountable partner and a customized proposal with itemized monthly pricing, line by line, with no surprise fees.
Because BTI is highly automated, we deliver better productivity and real savings. That lets our services and bundles come in well below market while delivering the foremost level of technical quality. Quality is our first goal.
We also accelerate project success: every engagement starts with pre-defined business outcomes and tracking metrics for both IT and business success, so you can see progress instead of just being told about it. As your Guided Automation Partner, BTI automates and streamlines operations to free up your team and help drive profitable revenue.
How Much Do Managed IT Services Cost in 2026?

BTI Group's managed IT services typically cost $60 to $290 per user per month in 2026, with itemized monthly pricing and no surprise fees. Co-managed IT in a full cloud environment starts near $60 per user. Average client spend is about $200 per user for fully managed, secured IT and about $290 for compliance-driven organizations. Every client is different, so your price is set after a free assessment.
Where you land depends on how you leverage our resources, your infrastructure, licensing, the technical and security debt in your environment, and the applications you need supported. Hardware, licensing and labor procurement for project work can be 100% financed and built into your expansion or onboarding plan.
| Plan | Typical BTI price | Who it fits |
|---|---|---|
| Co-Managed Cloud IT | From $60/user/mo | Organizations with internal IT staff who want BTI's tools, 24/7 monitoring and escalation depth |
| Agentic Secure Workplace | Average client spend ~$200/user/mo | Organizations that want fully managed IT, a monitored security stack and Guided Automation for managed, secured, compliant agentic solutions |
| Agentic Compliance + Security Ops | Average client spend ~$290/user/mo | Regulated or audit-driven organizations that need governance, compliance evidence, advanced automation, complex monitoring and advanced security operations |
Every client is different. Averages are not starting prices. Your proposal is itemized and adjustable at your discretion after a free assessment. Plans are designed for organizations with about 20 users or more.
Why Managed IT Pricing Is a Range, Not a Single Price
You'll find plenty of "$X per user" figures online. A single number can't account for how different two 50-person companies can be. One runs entirely in Microsoft 365 with modern laptops. The other has an aging server room, three line-of-business applications and a cyber insurance questionnaire it can't yet answer. The first may fit our co-managed tier. The second needs a fully compliant security program.
So we publish an honest range and then build itemized monthly pricing around your environment.
The Four Cost Drivers That Set Your Monthly Price
Four factors set your monthly managed IT price: infrastructure, licensing, technical debt and application support.
1. Infrastructure

Servers, firewalls, switches, wireless and other on-site equipment each need monitoring, patching and lifecycle management. A fully cloud environment costs less to manage than a hybrid one with on-premises servers, multiple sites or specialty equipment. That's why co-managed cloud environments start near $60/user/mo, and infrastructure-heavy environments sit higher in the range. Learn more about our IT infrastructure management, infrastructure consulting, network design and commercial WiFi services.
2. Licensing
Microsoft 365 tiers, security add-ons, backup, business continuity and line-of-business software licenses all affect the total. BTI right-sizes licensing during the assessment, which often finds unused or overlapping subscriptions, and builds the licenses you need into your itemized monthly pricing. See Microsoft solutions.
3. Technical, security and vulnerability debt
Technical debt is the backlog of unpatched systems, end-of-life hardware, undocumented configurations, open vulnerabilities and missing security controls. The more there is, the more work it takes to bring your environment to a secure, supportable baseline. We measure it in the assessment, show it in the proposal, and can phase remediation or finance infrastructure and hardware refresh, so your monthly cost stays predictable and your ROI arrives before your costs do.
4. Application support
Some organizations only need help with Microsoft 365 and standard desktop tools. Others depend on EHRs, ERPs, dispatch systems, advanced automation and governance, or call-center platforms that need vendor coordination and specialized support. The more critical and complex your applications, the more support time we build into your plan.
Separate Vendors vs. One BTI Bundle

Security tools bought separately commonly add $46–$129 per user per month, before help desk, patching, backup or anyone to watch the alerts.1 Many businesses buy IT support from one company, endpoint security from another, backup from a third and security training from a fourth. Each is priced separately, renews on its own date, and leaves gaps where no vendor owns the problem.
| Category | Typical cost when bought separately* | What BTI recommends |
|---|---|---|
| Managed detection & response (MDR) / 24/7 SOC | $25–$75 per user/mo for MDR/XDR services1 | MDR plus a 24/7 NOC/SOC partner backed by a SOC 2 audited operations center in both plans |
| SIEM / log monitoring | $15–$40 per user/mo for SIEM/SOC monitoring1 | 24/7 SIEM. Advanced correlation in Agentic Compliance + Security Ops |
| Email security | $3–$8 per user/mo1 | DNS and email security in both plans |
| Security awareness training | $3–$6 per user/mo1 | Included: Standard or Elite |
| Backup / BCDR | Priced separately by users, devices and data volume | BCDR / cloud backup in both plans |
| Identity / MFA | Priced separately per user | Identity and MFA included. Governance enforcement in Agentic Compliance + Security Ops |
| Help desk (in-house hire) | ~$7,160/mo fully loaded (BLS median $60,340/yr plus benefits)2 4 | Help desk and IT management included |
| Security analyst (in-house hire) | ~$14,830/mo fully loaded (BLS median $124,910/yr plus benefits)3 4 | Security operations delivered by our SOC team |
*Directional figures from industry publications. Separate-vendor figures exclude deployment, integration and the staff time to manage each tool.
BTI bundles all of it, managed under one SLA. Because our operations are highly automated, those savings show up in your price, not as a trade-off against quality.
Managed IT vs. hiring in-house
Hiring a single in-house security analyst costs about $178,000 a year once benefits are included.3 4 One person can't cover nights, weekends, vacations and every specialty. BTI gives you a 24/7 team, enterprise tooling and documented processes with predictable, itemized monthly pricing.
How BTI Compares With the Market
BTI's average client spend comes in below comparable security- and automation-inclusive bundles (BTI estimate).
| Offering | Per user / month | Source |
|---|---|---|
| BTI Agentic Secure Workplace | ~$200 average client spend | BTI |
| Comparable market bundle (typically also requires a full-time internal manager plus multiple providers)* | $290–$380 | BTI estimate |
| BTI Agentic Compliance + Security Ops | ~$290 average client spend | BTI |
| Comparable market bundle (typically also requires a full-time internal manager plus multiple providers)* | $375–$450 | BTI estimate |
| Advanced security add-on to general managed IT (2026) | +$20–$75 | 1 |
*BTI estimate. The cost of a full-time internal manager, AI management and AI security tooling is typically not included in comparable market pricing. Guided Automation advisory and management are bundled into BTI's average client spend shown.
What this means: General managed IT plans often leave out 24/7 SOC, SIEM, backup, business continuity, compliance work, or AI governance and management, or charge for them as add-ons. BTI's plans include them, so we compare our plans with comparable security- and automation-inclusive bundles. By that measure, BTI's services and bundles come in well below market. See why quality comes first.
Quality First: How Automation Lets BTI Deliver More for Less

Quality is BTI's first and primary goal. We've learned that the biggest barriers to quality IT aren't a lack of effort. They are:
- Wasted budget spent on overlapping tools, unused licenses and duplicate contracts
- Inefficiency: manual, repetitive work that slows response and adds cost
- Ineffectiveness: activity that doesn't move security, uptime or business outcomes
- Cheap tooling that creates noise, blind spots and rework
- Weak, cut-rate partners that cut corners where it matters most
Highly automated by design
BTI is highly automated. Monitoring, patching, alert triage, reporting, onboarding and routine remediation run on automated workflows, so our engineers spend their time on work that needs expert judgment. That brings better productivity and savings, and it's why BTI's services and bundles come in well below market at the foremost level of technical quality that can be delivered.
Better tools and partners, not cheaper ones
We don't hit our prices by cutting quality. We pair enterprise-grade tooling with leading, vetted specialist partners, all managed under BTI's SLA, and monitor everything through our 24/7 NOC/SOC partner backed by a SOC 2 audited operations center. The savings come from automation and consolidation, never from cut-rate tools or partners.
Quality you can measure
Every engagement is tied to defined outcomes and success metrics (see below), so quality is tracked, reported and accountable.

What Is BTI's Value-Added Bundle?
BTI's value-added bundle combines the services you already pay for, often across five or more vendors, into one responsive vendor, one SLA, itemized cost and measured value. Here's what you get beyond simply adding services together:
- Lower total cost. Consolidating vendors and services removes overlapping tools, duplicate licenses and the staff time spent managing many contracts.
- One accountable partner. When something breaks, there's no finger-pointing between your IT company, security vendor, phone provider and camera installer. BTI owns the outcome.
- Guided Automation (included). BTI is your Guided Automation Partner, implementing advanced agentic and AI chat tools in a governed, secure program. Advisory is included; AI tool usage is an add-on.
- Integrated security. Your endpoints, email, network, cloud apps, VoIP, contact center, cell phones, tablets, and even cameras, alarms and door controllers are monitored together, so threats are correlated across surfaces instead of hiding in gaps between vendors.
- Right-sized licensing. We consolidate and optimize subscriptions as part of the bundle.
- Predictable budgeting. Itemized monthly pricing with no surprise fees. Hardware, licensing and labor can be 100% financed.
- Room to grow revenue and reduce costs at the same time. Add or remove network, communications, physical security or AI services under the same agreement as your needs change. Swap tools and services to improve performance with flexible agreements. Maintain, upgrade and enhance what you already have with AI development and integration from your Guided Automation Partner.
In short, the bundle gives you more protection, less vendor overhead and better value than buying the same capabilities separately.
Defined Outcomes and Success Metrics: Accelerate Project Success
Before work starts, BTI agrees with you on pre-defined business outcomes and the metrics we'll track, for both IT performance and business results. Your project lead reports on them at least weekly during projects and onboarding, then in regular service reviews.
Example KPIs we can track
The KPIs below are examples only. Your actual metrics and targets are agreed with you during the assessment and written into your proposal.
| Area | Example KPI | Example target (illustrative) |
|---|---|---|
| IT reliability | Uptime of critical systems | e.g., 99.9% monthly |
| Security hygiene | Patch compliance (OS and third-party apps) | e.g., 95%+ of devices patched within the agreed window |
| Compliance | Audit pass rate / open findings closed | e.g., pass on first attempt; findings closed by due date |
| Projects | Milestones delivered on schedule | e.g., each milestone hit by its agreed date |
| Automation | Hours saved per month by automated workflows | e.g., hours measured before vs. after |
| Support | First-response and resolution times | e.g., per your SLA |
| Business | Costs consolidated or removed (vendors, licenses), customer experience, and metrics from your line-of-business tools | e.g., monthly spend before vs. after, process cycle time, revenue impact |
Guided Automation: streamline operations, drive profitable revenue
As your Guided Automation Partner, BTI identifies repetitive work, such as ticket triage, onboarding and offboarding, reporting, customer communications and data entry, then automates it with clear before-and-after measurement. The goal is fewer manual hours, faster service and more capacity for revenue-producing work. Guided Automation advisory is included in all plans at no extra cost; AI tools such as chat models, model access and usage, and secure private cloud workspaces are optional add-ons. Managed IT Pricing FAQs
How much do managed IT services cost per user in 2026?
BTI Group's managed IT services typically cost $60 to $290 per user per month in 2026, with itemized monthly pricing and no surprise fees. Co-managed cloud environments start near $60. Average client spend is about $200 for the Agentic Secure Workplace and about $290 for Agentic Compliance + Security Ops. Every client is different, so your price is set after a free assessment.
Why is BTI priced below market without sacrificing quality?
Quality is BTI's first goal. BTI is highly automated, which brings better productivity and savings, so our services and bundles come in well below market while delivering the foremost level of technical quality.
Why doesn't BTI publish one flat price?
Infrastructure, licensing, technical debt and application support vary widely between organizations. A free assessment lets us give you an accurate proposal with itemized monthly pricing instead of a teaser rate that grows later.
Are there surprise fees?
No. Your proposal uses itemized monthly pricing, line by line. If your needs change, such as adding users or sites or swapping tools, we update the proposal with you before anything changes.
Is there a minimum number of users?
BTI's managed IT plans are designed for organizations with about 20 users or more. Smaller teams can still buy individual services à la carte.
Are there setup or onboarding costs?
Setup costs vary by client needs, most often because of the technical debt in your environment. Instead of big day-one fees, 100% financing and bundled plans let you defer or amortize setup and remediation costs over time, so your ROI arrives before your costs do.
What is the lowest-cost way to get managed IT from BTI?
Co-managed IT in a fully cloud environment starts from about $60 per user per month. It works well for organizations with internal IT staff who want to augment the tools and services they deliver in-house.
What's the difference between Agentic Secure Workplace and Agentic Compliance + Security Ops?
Agentic Secure Workplace (average client spend about $200 per user per month) includes fully managed IT, a complete monitored security stack and Guided Automation advisory. Agentic Compliance + Security Ops (average about $290) adds advanced SIEM correlation, governance enforcement, annual risk assessment, policies, incident response playbooks, advanced automation depending on scope, and compliance readiness.
Can I finance hardware and setup?
Yes. Hardware, licensing and labor can be 100% financed and built into your onboarding or expansion plan.
Is AI included in every plan?
Guided Automation advisory from BTI's experts is included in all plans at no extra cost. The AI tools themselves, such as chat models, model access and usage (tokens), and secure private cloud workspaces, are optional add-ons priced separately.
Can I buy just one service?
Yes. Every BTI service is available à la carte, or you can bundle for simplicity and value.
Who provides BTI's cybersecurity tools?
BTI works with leading, vetted specialist security partners, with no second-rate tools. All partners are managed under BTI's SLA, delivered at SMB pricing, with monitoring by our 24/7 NOC/SOC partner backed by a SOC 2 audited operations center.
How does BTI measure success?
We agree on pre-defined business outcomes and KPIs, such as uptime, patch compliance, audit results, project milestones and hours saved or processes improved through automation, and report on them through your project lead and service reviews.
Is managed IT cheaper than hiring in-house?
Usually it is both better and cheaper. A single in-house security analyst costs about $178,000 a year with benefits, based on BLS data, and one person can't provide 24/7 coverage or compete with BTI's offer by themselves.
What happens after I sign?
You get a single project lead with at least weekly check-ins through onboarding, followed by ongoing service reviews.

What the Bundle Saves: SaaS and AI Spend Under Control
Almost every app growing businesses pay for now sells AI as an extra. Zylo's 2026 SaaS Management Index found organizations leave an average of 36% of their SaaS licenses unused, measured against recommended utilization (Zylo). Add per-seat AI, credits and renewal increases, and the software bill grows faster than the value.
Through its managed IT services, BTI makes both kinds of AI work inside your real workflows, then does three things with them: optimizes what you spend, converts expensive AI consumption into low-cost governed workflow automations, and governs the tools, the usage and the systems they touch.
The AI you see
Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini, chat tools and voice agents your staff use directly, in a company-controlled workspace with access controls and logging.
The AI you don't see
AI features embedded in the SaaS apps you already pay for, background automations and agents, and AI analytics in security and monitoring, like our SOC 2 audited NOC/SOC partner's automated alert triage (10,000+ alerts handled, zero missed).
- Optimize AI consumption and cost: right-size Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini seats, tokens and credits; audit licenses; consolidate overlapping tools; and catch AI features switched on at renewal
- Convert expensive consumption into low-cost workflow automations: repetitive AI usage that runs up per-seat add-ons, tokens and credits becomes governed workflow automations you own, running on BTI's AI consumption management and workflow automation platforms, with no royalties or license fees to SaaS providers for what BTI builds
- Govern the tools, the usage and the connected systems: AI use policies, access controls, logging and data boundaries for the AI tools and for the Microsoft 365, CRM, ERP, ticketing and phone systems they connect to
- Itemized usage, only where it pays back: model usage, tokens and secure workspaces quoted as line items
- Guided Automation advisory included in every BTI managed IT plan
That is why BTI's itemized plans, typically $60 to $290 per user per month, are built to reduce total software spend as AI capability grows.
